Aims of this site "Secrecy is the enemy of Truth & Enlightenment"

The aims which follow are not in any order of priority as we all have different agendas: to bring together ex-Dr Barnardo's Homes (DBH) people, British Home Children (BHC) or their descendants & any other Care-Leavers so we can help each other in whatever task or quest we are committed to to provide links to other sites, belonging to individuals or run by the authorities, whether to ask their help or, better still, to harangue them on the unresolved issue of releasing much-needed family data (after all, why is it ok for them to read things about our kin that we are not permitted to see??) to provide a forum on issues such as that mentioned above to ultimately set up an international association run by and for people who were (or still are) in "care" to help those of us who may need whatever kind of real care or aid, without any uninvited intervention / interference from non-careleavers!! to provide a focal point for forming an international pressure group devoted to getting action on care issues Anything else which I might have forgotten, but that's what the Suggestions, Opinions page is for so please use it
